About 3MT

The foundation of 3MT began long before the company was officially formed.

Growing up around pellet mills, the founders of 3MT spent years working inside pellet production environments. 

From a young age, summers were spent working in a wood pellet plant—running baggers and stacking 40-lb bags of pellets during production.

Those early years provided firsthand exposure to how pellet mills operate and the challenges that come with maintaining stable production systems.

As pellet markets changed over the years, that early experience expanded into rebuilding and servicing pellet equipment.

Our team helped rebuild pellet mills, screeners, and material handling systems while assisting with equipment resales and plant support projects.

This work provided valuable experience in understanding how pellet production systems function, how different materials behave, and how equipment must be configured to operate reliably.

In 2021, the experience gained from years working with pellet mills, rebuilding equipment, and developing feeding systems led to the formation of Mid Michigan Milling Technologies.

The company was founded to help manufacturers develop practical pellet production systems and material handling solutions based on real operational experience.

Since then, 3MT has worked with companies across several industries to develop feeding systems, batching equipment, and pellet production solutions designed to improve plant performance.

3MT focuses on practical solutions that work in real production environments.

Rather than relying on overly complex designs, the goal is to develop equipment and systems that are:
